Detroit’s first legal food truck is continuing to expand.

El Guapo Fresh Mexican Grill will now operate on the Wayne State University campus, near the undergraduate library and student center from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

“Well it’s news! El Guapo is excited to announce that it is OFFICIAL, Guapo will now be on Wayne State University campus Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays,” reads a Wednesday message on the mobile restaurant’s Facebook page. “First full day manana!”

The eatery’s contract with Wayne State adds to El Guapo’s other locations in Greektown, Midtown, Eastern Market and the Stadium District.

El Guapo co-owners Anthony Curis and Doug Runyon first took to the streets of the Motor City in July .

According to Curis, El Guapo employs seven people and usually serves about 80 to 115 customers for lunch a day. Last month, El Guapo served its 10,000th customer.

The Mexican eatery, which can be tracked through social networking such as Twitter and Facebook, offer everything from breakfast burritos and marinated steak tacos to Pink Elephant cupcakes. Items on the menu range from about $2 for tacos to $7 for a breakfast combo that includes any burrito, papas fritas (tater tots) and a beverage.
